Democrat Lawmaker Tries To Justify IRS’ Lavish Billions In Budget Increase

Despite millions of hardworking American taxpayers struggling to make ends meet, the Internal Revenue Service is receiving billions in budget increase. The request came directly from a democrat lawmaker, trying to weaponize the already unpopular entity. So they can continue to bleed tax-payers dry.

Recently, Congresswoman Judy Chun showed her support for the IRS budget boost of $80 billion, complaining they had in fact lost  $7 billion from unpaid taxes by citizens. Forgetting to notice that Americans have lost tremendous trust in the government over their reckless spending habits and their weaponization from this current administration. It should not surprise her when more and more Americans will break tax laws because of this administration.

Daily Caller reports, California Democratic Rep. Judy Chu said Tuesday that unpaid taxes justified expanding the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

On MSNBC, the Democrat explained why funding for the IRS was so crucial.

According to the Inflation Reduction Act, signed into law by President Biden in August, the IRS will be able to hire up to 87,000 new agents with $80 billion. The IRS expansion is believed to target small businesses primarily, according to some experts.

In 2013 and 2021, the IRS was under fire after ProPublica obtained and published tax information from some of the wealthiest Americans. The leak is under investigation.

Additionally, the agency was criticized for allegedly targeting the Tea Party during the Obama administration. A central figure in the scandal, Lois Lerner, did not face criminal charges.

The IRS has been quite busy in the 21st century pursuing citizens who absolutely detest their guts.

CBS reports, The IRS said it is delaying a controversial requirement that would have required more online sellers and gig workers to report their income.

Payment platforms such as Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App would have been required to send 1099-K tax forms to anyone receiving more than $600. In the past, such payment services were only required to report their users’ income to the Internal Revenue Service if they had over 200 transactions and exceeded $20,000 in revenue.

The tug-of-war between conservatives and liberals on government size and taxes has been ongoing for many centuries. Conservatives tend to prefer a leaner government with lower taxes so their constituents can keep more of their hard-earned money to spend as they see fit. On the other hand, liberals often view government is essential for helping those in need, with taxes being the primary funding source. This stalemate between two thoroughly entrenched ideologies is why entities such as the IRS are so important to leftist officials who want citizens to pour even more of their money into government coffers. It is a great injustice that governments believe they are entitled to take citizens’ money essentially without permission or recompense, despite all of the effort that went into earning it in the first place. It’s simply wrong.
