Hollywood is still reeling from the initial success of Top Gun as it soared to the Top of the Box office since its initial release, and has continued to set records as it breaks into the online streaming services.

Movies used to be all about the movie, with very subtle political messaging in them, if any at all. Now every movie has to hit a certain number of racial roles, lgbtq roles, and must spew anti conservative viewpoints every 10 seconds or it will not get funded. With the release of Top Gun it showed Hollywood what America really wants; and that is just a good movie with no overt overtones of Wokeness.  

Daily wire reports, a new victory lap is in order for everyone involved in “Top Gun: Maverick” following its premiere on Paramount+, where it became the most-watched movie of all time.

Brian Robbins, President and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Chief Content Officer, Movies and Kids & Family, Paramount+  made a statement on the success of Top Gun “The runaway success of this film across theatrical, digital and now in streaming is an undeniable proof point demonstrating the power of Paramount’s multi-platform release strategy,”

Paramount+ tweeted about the success of Top Gun on their online streaming service stating “Maverick did it again! #TopGun: Maverick is now the #1 Global Movie Premiere on #ParamountPlus EVER!”

According to the outlet, viewership for the original “Top Gun” film went up 400% ahead of the sequel’s release on the platform.

Deadline reports that the film has now surpassed the $1.4 billion milestone worldwide, becoming one of the top-grossing films of all time.

“Mission: Impossible” star Tom Cruise’s first film to reach such a milestone is a worldwide success. Cruise took to social media to thank fans for coming out in droves after the movie’s success.

Cruise Tweeted “To all the films in release, to all the studios, and to all the exhibitors: congratulations. To the audience: thank you for venturing out and allowing us to entertain you. 

See you at the movies.”

Goes to show what a movie can do when it just focuses on being a good movie. There was no massive amounts of Woke ideology, there was a very strong sense of patriotism. The movie was packed with action, a great plot line, some amazing jones, and was all around very entertaining. Compare that to almost any other movie to come out in the last few years, and you will see why Top Gun was a glaring success. We just hope that Hollywood can read the writing on the walls, and begin to push out some truly great movies, like they used to in the past.
