Wait, WHAT? Dem Rep. Makes Astonishing Accusation against Byron Donald

Did you hear what Democrat Representative Cori Bush recently said about Republican Congressman Byron Donalds? If not, then get ready for a tale too wild to be real – but unfortunately, it is. Bush has made a confounding accusation regarding the Florida politician and it’s certainly grabbed attention nationwide.

“Pathetic” is how progressive firebrand Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) described her colleague Rep. Byron Donalds’s nomination for speaker.

According to the Washington Examiner, due to the fact that there were two black nominees to the House Republican leadership, Donalds was hailed by rebels as a historic move.

However, Bush rejected that idea. The Congresswoman described Donalds as a “prop” who perpetuates white supremacy.

Bush tweeted Wednesday, “@ByronDonalds is not a historic candidate for Speaker. He is a prop. Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy. His name being in the mix is not progress—it’s pathetic.”

Donalds later responded to Bush’s attack, tweeting, “Nobody asked [Bush] her opinion on the matter. Before you judge my agenda, let’s have a debate over the policies and the outcomes. Until then, don’t be a crab in a barrel!”

During the contentious standoff over the speaker’s gavel that has paralyzed Congress, Donalds became the first House Republican to flip. After voting for McCarthy twice on Tuesday, he voted for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), bringing the total number of Republican defectors to 20.

In three rounds of voting Wednesday, Donalds was the Republican rebel alternative to McCarthy.

201 Republicans supported McCarthy’s candidacy during Wednesday’s round of voting, as well as Thursday’s 7th and 8th round votes. Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN) switched her vote to “present” on Wednesday.

Each round, Donalds received 20 votes.

As noted by RedState, outside of the capitol, reporters asked Byron if he was “worried” about the publicity of his decision to vote against McCarthy, to which he gave an epic response.

This is the first time since 1923 that there was no speaker after the first round of voting. Due to this delay, the new Congress has yet to be sworn in and committee assignments have not been made, which means that the lower chamber cannot conduct business.

The disgraceful noise made by the no-good Congresswoman Cori Bush should make all decent people sick. Bush’s accusation that her colleague on the opposite side of the aisle, Rep Byron Donalds, was merely a “prop” for white supremacists is disgraceful and has no basis in truth. This is just one example of how Bush has shown herself to be a classless woman, who will stoop to any level for political attention. The fact that she would go so far as to make such baseless accusations about a successful black politician is simply astonishing.
