SICK: Dem Congresswoman Hits Rock Bottom by Outright Defending Ruthless Killer

Rep. Cori Bush (MO) drew backlash online after lamenting Amber (previously “Scott”) McLaughlin’s execution for murdering his former girlfriend brutally.

Cori Bush, a member of the far-left “Squad,” said that McLaughlin was “killed by state-sanctioned, inhumane capital punishment.”

Bush began her statement by saying, “My heart is with her family and loved ones. I yearn for the day when our society acknowledges that state-sanctioned murder will never achieve justice.”

Bush attacked Republican Governor Mike Parson in her statement, claiming the governor failed to save lives once again, calling the death penalty “archaic, barbaric, and cold-hearted.”

Bush also justified the murderer’s “traumatic childhood” and persistent “mental health issues.”

And, in a tweet, Bush doubled down on her stance, saying, “3 days into 2023, Missouri has chosen to uphold violence over mercy. Today, the state executed Amber McLaughlin, a trans woman, who was sentenced to death by a judge after a jury could not unanimously agree to impose that sentence. Capital punishment must be abolished.”

McLaughlin was convicted of stalking, raping and stabbing his ex-partner Beverly Guenther to death in 2003 before “transitioning,” and was executed by lethal injection late Tuesday. McLaughlin had previously been convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl in 1992.

Online backlash followed Bush’s tweet following McLaughlin’s execution.

Conservative writer and commentator Chad Felix Greene tweeted, “He raped and murdered his ex-girlfriend after stalking and terrorizing her. He was a convicted sex offender who raped a 14 year old girl when he was 19. He was not a victim.”

“Her name was Beverly Guenther. Amber murdered her after stalking and terrifying her,” another user wrote. “Say her name.”

“This woman, a representative, is defending a murderer and a rapist,” wrote one Twitter user. “Let that sink in.”

It is truly unbelievable that the woke Congresswoman Cori Bush has sunk to a new low – defending a vicious murderer who was rightfully put to death. Amber (previously Scott) McLaughlin brutally murdered his former girlfriend, and yet Bush still found it within herself to lament his execution and justify his criminal actions based on the so-called traumatic childhood he had and mental health issues he claimed to have suffered from. This lack of respect for justice is shameful, and online backlash appropriately followed her tweet and statement. It’s reassuring that, despite her attempts to spin what happened, the death penalty was done right; justice was served.
