The political landscape has been rocked by the recent passing of “Diamond” – half of the iconic conservative duo “Diamond and Silk” who fought for traditional values and faith-based beliefs throughout their lives. The duo was a staple in modern politics and loved by many. As Republicans around the nation mourn this loss, they also take time to reflect on Diamond’s legacy as well as how her voice will be sorely missed in our current times.
A prominent pro-Trump influencer, Ineitha Lynnette Hardaway, a.k.a. “Diamond” from “Diamond and Silk,” has passed away at the age of 51.
In their live-stream videos, the duo discussed politics with conservative activists. They appeared occasionally on conservative news shows and regularly attended rallies for President Trump.
Last year, when Trump announced his third bid for the White House, they both endorsed him. “President Trump has our full and complete endorsement!” the duo stated on Twitter at the time.
On Truth Social, Trump mourned Diamond’s passing, writing, “Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans. Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina. Silk was with her all the way and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”
On Diamond and Silk’s Twitter account, a link was shared for people to donate to her funeral. Herneitha Rochelle Hardaway Richardson, also known as Silk, will receive the funds.
Many Republicans have mourned Diamond’s passing since the news broke out Monday afternoon.
Dr. Ben Carson acknowledged the icon’s death, tweeting, “Diamond of @DiamondandSilk was an incredible person who truly cared about America. I enjoyed going on the show because she was always positive, with a smile, and reminded people why America is so important and worth saving. We send condolences to Silk and Diamond’s entire family.”
Rep. Lauren Boebert tweeted, “She was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed by so many people.”
And Terrence Williams added, “This is truly heartbreaking. This one hit hard. Diamond, of Diamond and Silk has passed away. I’m at a loss for words. We will miss you and most definitely will never forget you. Love you forever. Please keep her sister Silk in your prayers.”
Republicans nationwide join together in thoughts and prayers for the family and friends of “Diamond” and her passing. We are thankful for her courage and unparalleled strength during her lifetime, and she will now rest in peace knowing that she positively impacted countless lives around the nation.
