A member of the Democratic Squad, Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), expressed her feelings about newly-elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif).
Just hours after McCarthy was sworn in, Omar tweeted that he made a deal with “far-right insurrectionists” who had refused to support him, Townhall reports.
Omar tweeted, “McCarthy just agreed to a deal with far-right insurrectionists that would hold the entire US and global economy hostage to extreme cuts to everything from housing to education, healthcare, Social Security and Medicare.”
Omar added, “hard to overstate how dangerous this is.”
McCarthy was compared to the mob ringleader in the gangster film, “Goodfellas,” by the Squad Member earlier in the week.
A photo of Joe Pesci dressed in nice clothes and about to be initiated into the Mafia was tweeted by Omar, with a caption that reads: “Kevin McCarthy walking into the new Congress with a fresh majority.”
On Twitter, Omar was criticized for her comments.
Disgraced Congresswoman Ilhan Omar disgraced her position as a representative when she threw a temper tantrum on Twitter after Kevin McCarthy was elected Speaker of the House. By attacking his character, Omar disgraced herself and showcased her unprofessionalism. Her comments drew a lot of attention, as some rightfully criticized her for her outrageous statements. No matter where one stands on the political spectrum, Omar should be condemned for her rude behavior and lack of professionalism.
