Fisher price has issued a recall on 4.7 million devices, and the word needs to be spread to stop any more infant fatalities.
Having a baby is the most incredible thing to experience, the laughs, the joy, and sometimes the worry that you did something wrong, is all part of being a parent. But when you shop for baby stuff you assume that an overwhelming amount of research and safety tests went into play making sure that everything was deemed safe before the items hit the market.
Washington Examiner reports, a recall of Fisher-Price’s Rock ‘n Play Sleepers was renewed on Monday. As a result of 30 reports of infant deaths, the product was recalled in 2019.
However, 70 more infant deaths have been reported since the recall. As a result, the company issued an additional recall, advising customers not to use the product.
Watch
Previously there was a recall alert in 2019, and we have more information from the previous recall alert.
According to the company’s April 2019 statement, despite some customers using the product “contrary to safety warnings and instructions,” all of its products are safe.
Fisher-Price has been asked by NBC News to clarify its claims about improper use of the device.
The product was sold at major stores nationwide including Walmart, Target and online at Amazon from September 2009 through April 2019, for $40 to $149.
Consumers should stop using the Rock ‘n Play immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a refund or voucher.
We strongly urge everyone watching this video to alert your family, friends, and others who have children to become aware of the dangers of this device, and to immediately stop using it. Babies are a gift from God and sometimes it takes a community to keep babies safe. Let’s work together to make sure another fatality does not happen.
