Governor Ron DeSantis was shocked and angered at the thought that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would insinuate his activation of the Florida National Guard was a ‘political stunt’ in response to the increase of illegal boat landings. 

Governor Ron DeSantis has had it with the Biden Administration’s lack of initiative to protect our borders. He recently hit back hard at the White House over a National Guard deployment and made it crystal clear that he plans to protect Florida no matter what. He is adamant that national security, especially during this war on drugs, should not be taken lightly as the Biden Administration has failed in protecting our borders. 

Townhall reports. After White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said activating the Florida National Guard in response to the increase in illegal boat landings was another political stunt, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) fired back.

In response to a question on his latest order to activate elements of the National Guard, DeSantis said the US Coast Guard asked the state for assistance in dealing with illegal boat landings.

The incident that sparked this back and forth between the best governor in America, and the worst President in history was a massive surge of illegals landing on Florida’s shores. 

Los Angeles Times reports,  the Florida Keys have seen more than 500 Cuban immigrants come ashore in just one weekend earlier this month , the latest in a large and increasing number who are fleeing their country and stretching thin U.S. border agencies.

Cuban migrants are intercepted and returned to Cuba by the U.S. Coast Guard at sea. About 4,200 ships have been stopped at sea since the new fiscal year began Oct. 1, 2022 – or 43 a day. That was up from 17 per day in the previous fiscal year and just two per day during the 2020-21 fiscal year.

But an unknown number have made it to land and will probably get to stay.

This massive influx of illegal immigrants caused a massive response from Florida’s governor.

DeSantis’ vocal rebuke serves as a reminder for all that he will protect his people and state before anyone else. Governor Ron DeSantis is rightfully pushing back against the Biden Administration’s lack of initiative to protect our borders. He is appalled that anyone could agree with Karine Jean-Pierre’s view that a National Guard deployment was nothing more than a political stunt. He believes illegal immigration needs to stop, and sending in the National Guard should be seen as a way to protect Florida and keep it secure – not some kind of game. It is exactly moments like this when we truly realize how much the Biden Administration has failed us, and it’s time for more serious measures to be taken in order to defend our borders.
