Despite thefts soaring by 21 percent in Wilmington, Delaware in 2022, Joe Biden reportedly believes his garage where he keeps classified documents is totally secure.

Breitbart reports, Biden told reporters on January 12, “By the way, the Corvette is in a locked garage. OK? It’s not like they’re sitting out in the street,” when confronted about the stashed classified documents in his garage.

The Wilmington Police Department’s year-end 2022 data shows that felony thefts are up 21 percent from 2019 or the last year before the pandemic.

Wilmington’s New Castle County, which includes Wilmington, revealed in a December 2022 report that property and social offenses were at a 5-year high.

In the United States, burglaries occur every 28.3 seconds, according to FBI data. Further, the National Insurance Crime Bureau reported in November 2022 that “vehicle thefts in the U.S. are at their highest level since 2008.”

As crime has increased since Biden left the White House as vice president in 2017, questions have been raised about his garage’s security. Since Biden left the White House in 2017, Biden’s Wilmington home has been under Secret Service protection, but no information has been released regarding who visited the residence.

The Secret Service claimed on January 16 that it does not keep visitor logs of everyone who enters Biden’s house. According to Fox News, that claim was contradicted on Thursday. As it turns out, the Secret Service keeps records of those who “contact” locations it protects.

The House Oversight Committee is seeking the visitor logs of Biden’s Wilmington residence since it is unclear who, other than Hunter Biden, had access to classified documents there.

Joe Biden’s irresponsible suggestion that top secret documents are safe in his Wilmington garage is perhaps one of the most unreal claims he could make amid his mishandling of sensitive national security materials. The recent crime statistics for the area paint a very different picture, challenging Biden’s notion that it is a secure location to keep any kind of highly classified government documents.
