Check out this video of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) placing bets with each other on Twitter about which team will win Sunday night’s NFL playoff game! However Ted Cruz had one twist to his bet.
Hey everyone we are here with an update on what could be one of the most interesting bets in political history! Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) recently challenged Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to a bet on Sunday night’s NFL playoff game between the Cowboys and 49ers—and you won’t believe what happened next!
Daily wire reports, Cruz fired back a stinging response when California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who once accused Cruz of defending Nazis, challenged Cruz with a wager on the upcoming playoff game between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
On Sunday, the Cowboys and 49ers will meet for the ninth time in the NFC Divisional Round.
Eric Swalwell tweeted at Ted Cruz “I will make this open bet to @tedcruz — if the @dallascowboys beat the @49ers I won’t tweet for the rest of January. If the @49ers win you can’t tweet for rest of January. How Texan are you, Ted? Deal?”
Ted Cruz had the most Ted Cruz response to Swalwell’s proposition.
Cruz tweeted back “How about we bet a Chinese dinner instead?”
Swalwell has taken some pretty nasty shots at Ted Cruz in the past via twitter.
Fox news reports. Swalwell attacked Cruz in October 2021, claiming Cruz was “defending Nazis” after Cruz referenced a parent gestured with a Nazi salute at a school board meeting. It is important to note that most of the incidents described in the NSBA letter, which seem to have led to Merrick Garland’s memo targeting parents at school board meetings, were nonviolent in nature.
In a tweet Swalwell took a shot at Ted Cruz stating “ Just Ted Cruz Defending Nazis”
This was in response to a video where Cruz was defending parents at a school board meeting.
Let’s See Cruz’s Comments.
In response to Swalwell’s tweet Cruz sent back “You are frequently a liar (when you’re not sleeping with Chinese spies). But here, your lie is exactly 180 degrees false. I was defending the right of citizens to denounce authoritarian policies. In other words, to OPPOSE Nazis (or petty tyrants), not to support them.”
After Rep. Eric Swalwell’s outrageous challenge to Sen. Ted Cruz – and the heated exchange between them regarding previous accusations, Senator Cruz responded with a hilarious redirection of the conversation, referencing Swalwell’s recent controversy surrounding his involvement with Chinese spies. With great wit and an indisputable veracity, Cruz shut down Swalwell with a perfect response. That response literally gave both his supporters and opponents a line that they both could hardly help but laugh at. Nestled in between Trump 2024 memes and jabs at Swalwell for leaking state secrets, Cruzics retweeted this one-liner in droves, adding further fuel to an already frenzied culture war. What Cruz brilliantly demonstrated by his sharp response is that he wasn’t going to stand for Swalwell’s insults any longer – something we can all get behind as conservatives for America!
