Representatives Elise Stefanik and Chip Roy, two conservative hardliners who blocked McCarthy’s speakership bid earlier this month, were appointed to the panel by Speaker McCarthy. House Judiciary Committee Chair Jordan sits on the subcommittee.

With all of the insanity going on at the FBI it is pretty clear that the subcommittee will not run out of items to investigate.

Fox news reports, in the midst of the Ukraine war, a former FBI counterintelligence official allegedly involved in the Trump-Russia investigation was arrested and charged over his own alleged ties to a Russian oligarch.

Former FBI special agent Charles McGonigal, who retired in 2018, is accused of providing services to a sanctioned Russian oligarch in violation of U.S. sanctions. In a five-count indictment unsealed Monday in Manhattan federal court, he was charged alongside a former Soviet and Russian diplomat.
