Benjamin Hall, a Fox News foreign correspondent has recently returned after a life-threatening event. The incident occurred last year in Kyiv, Ukraine, when a bomb blast caused the death of two of his colleagues and left him with physical injuries. In his first on-air appearance since then, Hall reveals what saved him in an exciting reunion interview on Fox and Friends.

Daily wire reports, in his first on-air interview since a bomb blast outside Kyiv, Ukraine, killed two of his colleagues and nearly claimed his life, Fox News foreign correspondent Benjamin Hall shared what saved his life.

During Thursday’s broadcast of Fox & Friends, Hall shared the nine words he credits with saving his life with hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade.

In an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, he detailed the first moments following the blast, when everything became dark around him: “Saved: A War Reporter’s Mission To Make It Home.”

He explained the risky civilian operation that led him out of Ukraine in the days, weeks, and even months that followed — and credited the military hospitals at Landstuhl Air Force Base in Germany and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, for rebuilding him mentally and physically.

Witnessing reporter Benjamin’s powerful testimony really put the Ukrainian War into perspective. As American citizens, it is easy to feel frustrated with having our taxes used to fund this war, however, it is important to remember those directly affected by the conflict. We are thankful that Benjamin was able to safely return home to his daughters and wife; yet, we cannot forget the other families who were not as fortunate. The thought of innocent Ukrainian communities trapped within a broken system fills us with sympathy because we know they did not ask for a corrupt government. We wish for the safe return of all displaced individuals, and most importantly that our brave soldiers may never set foot in Ukraine and fight a war that is ours to fight.
