The Pegasus Cup – the most prestigious annual horse race in the world – invited plenty of anticipation this year, with one horse named “Riding with Biden’ coming into the race particularly buzzworthy. Unfortunately for its many supporters though, live TV soon brought about an unexpected twist of fate that left ‘Ridin’ With Biden’ tragically derailed in a tide-turning crash & burn moment that nobody – fans included – saw coming.
The 2023 Pegasus World Cup was held at Gulfstream Park in Florida over the weekend.
There are a number of high-profile celebrities, fashion icons, influencers, as well as devout fans who attend the Pegasus World Cup.
And ironically, “Ridin With Biden” was one of the horses competing over the weekend with odds of 20-1.
It was fitting that the race ended in the way it did. ‘Ridin With Biden’ had some ‘issues’ and was very ‘slow’ out of the gate.
In the end, a dead last place finish was achieved by Ridin With Biden.
Needless to say, Twitter world erupted in laughter.
Noting how the horse’s performance mimicked that of President Joe Biden’s job performance, one Twitter user commented, “Sometimes art imitates life, sometimes life imitates art…”
Another added, “Great day for me. Can’t make this up and let’s hope it’s prophetic.”
Another commented, “Yep, that seems to be about right. Anyone “Ridin with Biden” is a loser.
Another person noted that the horse’s last place finish was “so fitting.”
The 2023 Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park was so fittingly ironic as ‘Ridin With Biden’ competed with odds of 20-1, only to suffer a spectacular failure. Anyone ridin’ with Biden turned out to be on the losing side, which is so ironic considering the current political climate we are experiencing with Joe Biden failing as President. It was a hilarious moment, but oh so true – sometimes art imitates life, and sometimes life imitates art!
