Rep. Eric Swalwell’s relationship with a suspected Chinese spy is treasonous and quite frankly unbecoming of the U.S government, more so his position as a member of the House Intelligence Committee.

Daily wire reports, during an interview on Sunday, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) said his past relationship with a suspected Chinese spy did not compromise U.S. national security.

As part of his discussion about being kicked off the House Intelligence Committee, Swalwell made the remarks on CNN’s “State of the Union” broadcast on Sunday.

On top of sleeping with the enemy, and divulging American secrets to a Chinese spy now Swalwell is crying over another aspect of this situation.

The Hill reports, Swalwell has repeatedly denied the accusation he is compromised, including in the interview on Wednesday. On multiple occasions, the FBI has said he was never suspected of wrongdoing and only assisted their investigation.

McCarthy’s claims were also fact-checked by a Washington Post report that awarded him four “Pinocchios.” McCarthy’s continuing to make false claims is resulting in threats against him and his family.

Swalwell said. “It inspires these death threats. People parrot what Kevin McCarthy is saying when they call and make the threats,”

After Swalwell made these comments Speaker of the House Kevin Mccarthy had this to say.

Rep. Eric Swalwell’s claim that his past relationship with a suspected Chinese spy didn’t compromise U.S. security makes it obvious that he is in bed with the enemy. Treason at its finest! At this point, it seems Biden has failed in ousting someone who has done more to harm our nation than our enemies ever had the chance too. An example needs to be made and the only way forward is to make Swalwell resign from office instead of sweeping his treasonous actions under the rug. Otherwise, how in the world can our great nation expect any form of loyalty or allegiance?
