It is official that more articles of impeachment have been filed against Cabinet member Mayorkas over his utter failure to secure the southern border, and blatant disregard for federal law.

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz. has reignited his bid to impeach DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for what he calls “dereliction of duty” and “failure to uphold law and order.” With the Biden administration having failed to address the rapid uptick in incoming migrants since Fiscal Year 2022, totaling over 2.3 million encounters, Rep. Biggs is pushing for systemic change starting with Mayorkas’ impeachment for his alleged “reckless abandonment of border security.

Fox News reports, Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., is introducing a new impeachment article against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, accusing him of violating his oath of office and failing to enforce immigration laws.

The articles were first published in 2021 by Biggs, who has repeatedly called for Mayorkas’ removal, and accuse him of having “engaged in a pattern of conduct inconsistent with his duties as an Officer of the United States.”

As a result of the record number of encounters with migrants in FY 2022, as well as the fact that Republicans now control the House, the impeachment effort has been renewed.

In the articles of impeachment, he is accused of failing to implement the 2006 Secure Fence Act, which requires DHS to “achieve and maintain operational control” over the border.

Finally, it accuses him of violating the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) by releasing illegal immigrants in the U.S., despite what Biggs claims is a requirement to detain illegal immigrants.

Biggs stated in the articles of impeachment “ The Secretary of Homeland Security does not have the option of simply releasing those aliens into the interior of the United States”

It’s insane that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has willfully allowed the utter collapse of the southern border of the United States. He has completely abdicated his responsibilities, resulting in a record 2.3 million migrant encounters in FY 2022, with more than 251,000 in December alone. Americans have paid the price for this reckless abandonment of border security due to a surge in illegal drugs and criminals entering the country. We can only hope that the impeachment proceedings get under way, and he is removed from office, and we can begin the process of restoring our great nation.
