According to reports, Nikki Haley will announce her candidacy for president on Feb. 15, running against Donald Trump in 2024. However, due to comments she made in 2021, many say her candidacy is already “doomed.”

President Trump shared an old video of Haley saying that she would never run against him.

A reporter asked in the clip from April 2021, “If [Trump] runs again in 2024, will you support him?”

Haley replied, “Yes.”

The reporter then asked, “If he decides that he’s going to run would that preclude any sort of run that you would possibly make yourself?” to which Haley said, “I would not run if President Trump ran.”

Trump, who shared the clip on Truth Social, commented, “Nikki has to follow her heart, not her honor. She should definitely run!” 

While Haley has not yet officially announced her candidacy, she did tweet on Wednesday that supporters should be ready for a “big announcement” at an event on February 15 in Charleston, declaring that it would be “definitely a Great Day in South Carolina!”

In a dramatic reversal of her October 2019 promise, Neocon Nikki Haley’s dreams of a 2024 Presidential bid have been demolished by Trump’s explosive video.
