We were shocked to hear House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries admit that his party’s agenda has now become pro-socialism after their split vote on the motion to condemn it. This shift in position is a slap in the face of our freedom and constitutional rights, as socialism is the antithesis of freedom and protects none of our individual rights.
It is truly alarming that the Democrats have decided to embrace socialism; it goes contrary to all the founding principles of freedom and individualism our nation was built upon. Despite our freedoms being the bedrock of our country, it is clear that the Democrats have been making every attempt to erode those freedoms, and create a dystopian future for America.
Red state reports, individual rights and freedoms are the founding principles of our country. We are the antithesis of socialism and collectivism by our very nature. As a result, when we on the right see Democrats marching to the left, it’s incredibly concerning, especially for those of us who recall what oppression was like in other nations.
We should be concerned about how enamored of socialism the Democrats have become, as they demonstrated on Thursday. The Republicans introduced a motion condemning socialism that received a split vote – 219 Republicans and 109 Democrats voted for it, 86 Democrats voted against it, 14 voted present, and six did not vote.
Specifically, the motion condemned the horrors caused by socialism, including those committed by murderous dictators like Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung.
The Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), opposed this resolution condemning murderous dictators. There were 86 people who voted against the resolution and 14 people who voted present, so 100 people did not vote for a resolution condemning murderous dictators.
Speaker of the house Kevin McCarthy made a statement on the vote.
As he argued against the resolution, Jeffries made a major admission. As Jeffries explains, voting for this resolution would undermine the Democrats’ agenda in the House. It says it all, right here.
Social Security and Medicare were among the concerns expressed by Democrats who voted against the resolution. Republicans on the Rules Committee rejected an amendment proposed by Rep. Mark Takano (D-Calif.) that sought to clarify that opposition to socialist policies does not include government programs like Medicare and Social Security.
Ah, freedom–one of the various rights our Constitution was created to protect. It should come as no surprise that when Republicans saw the Democrats making a long march to socialism, we were horrified. In what could only be described as an evil move, 219 Republicans and 109 Democrats voted on Thursday to condemn socialism – something that should’ve been a no-brainer in a country founded by freedom-loving individuals. As someone who has seen firsthand how oppressive socialism can be, I’m absolutely shocked that 86 Democrats would vote against the motion. We must fight with all we have to ensure freedom remains intact and protect our Constitution from such un-American ideals like socialism so future generations can enjoy it for years to come.
