The Daily Wire reports, in its abortion stance, the Democratic Party has become increasingly radical, moving away from the oft-cited “safe, legal, and rare” position to advocate for taxpayer-funded abortions on demand.

On Twitter, Markey captioned two photos: “I’m wearing my abortion pin from [Planned Parenthood Federation of America] to tonight’s State of the Union address. Abortion is essential healthcare and we need to codify this right.”

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, a nonprofit organization, criticized the senator online, tweeting the word “SICK” in response to the lawmaker’s pin.

The GOP House Judiciary Twitter account simply commented, “Disgusting,” to which Markey responded, “What’s disgusting is the GOP’s obsession with controlling people’s bodies.”

Author and commentator Mollie Hemingway tweeted, “Democrat man wears pin showing his love of abortion, which violently ends human life in the mother’s womb.”

Markey even invited a pro-abortion activist as his guest for Biden’s second State of the Union address Tuesday night.

During his speech, Biden called on federal lawmakers to restore Roe v. Wade and slammed “extreme” abortion bans.

Biden’s speech was his first SOTU address since the Supreme Court ended nearly 50 years of federal abortion protections in its June decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

With Markey’s fashion choice on Tuesday night, he was simply advocating for policies that could pave the way for babies’ lives to be endangered and disregarded – an action we can all agree is sickening, no matter one’s personal political views. Going against the protection of unborn babies’ lives reflects how radical the Democratic party has become in its abortion stance, aiming to advocate for taxpayer-funded abortions at all cost. We strongly condemn this sick stunt and hope that our politicians learn to respect life in all its forms.
