Blue State Shock! Police Give Away Free Devices To Stop Skyrocketing Car Thefts

In today’s world, parking your car is becoming increasingly difficult. Imagine living in a city where you can’t even park your car in a safe location because that’s considered an old concept. If you’d like to make that imagination a reality, just move to any major city. After all, only bigots want to protect their personal properties. In liberal central they share their cars with criminals.

The Kent Police Department in Washington is doing its part to combat a rise in auto theft with the distribution of free steering wheel locks. Apparently this is  supposed to provide added protection to vehicle owners and may help limit thefts. Adding an extra layer of security to vehicles reduces the risk that would-be thieves encounter upon attempting to break into them, potentially deterring and preventing some cases of theft. The initiative highlights another loophole to not address the real issue.

Daily Caller reports

As a result of an increase in auto theft, Kent Police Department in King County, Washington, will be providing free steering wheel locks to some vehicle owners.

Hyundai owners were casually informed of the news as if it were a normal announcement.

As reported by the Kent Police Department. In Seattle, thefts of Kia and Hyundai cars increased by 363% and 503% between 2021 and 2022, according to Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison.

In a statement released Monday, the police department said: “We will be giving them out on set distribution days and will get those dates out as soon as we have received the locks. Please continue to check back for dates/times. Please remember to: park in well-lit areas, remove all valuables from vehicle, lock vehicle and make sure windows are rolled up, install a security system [and] install a kill switch.”

A lawsuit filed in January by Davison’s office accuses Kia and Hyundai of failing to install anti-theft devices in some of their cars, leading to an “exponential increase” in stolen cars.

According to Davison’s office, reported stolen Hyundai and Kia vehicles increased by 620% between July 2021 and July 2022.

It should be unthinkable that the average citizen should have to worry about where they might safely park their car. It’s true that manufacturers could be blamed for some of this problem, but Seattle should take accountability for much of its crime crisis. If those citizens are willing to accept such conditions as normal and not push back hard against this criminal activity, then they deserve everything coming to them. Living in a crime ridden city is a choice and you also have a choice to end it.
