Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is taking a stand against un-American censorship by introducing the ELON Act to put a stop to Big Tech’s collusion with the government.

Let’s make no mistake – it isn’t a conspiracy; it’s real, unAmerican behavior that has been happening right before our eyes. And Lauren Boebert has stepped up to finally do something about the unconstitutional acts that are being done by our government.

Newsbusters reports, recently, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) announced that she introduced the Exposing Lewd Outlays for Social Networking Companies Act, or the ELON Act, to audit Big Tech’s collusion with the government to censor Americans. Furthermore, the ELON Act bans FBI payments to tech companies for a year.

In Boebert’s press release she stated “Big tech is in bed with the FBI and other agencies to the point where Congress can’t tell where one ends and the other begins. The millions of dollars sent to Twitter that we know of during an election cycle, when they were at the same time censoring the Hunter Biden laptop from hell, is incredibly concerning. My bill, the ELON Act, requires a report from all agencies on federal dollars sent to big tech companies. My legislation also places a one-year moratorium on tax dollars going to big tech companies. We must expose the incestuous relationship between big tech and the federal government. My bill does exactly that.”

The press release cited the Twitter Files revelations that the Justice Department (DOJ) and FBI directly worked with Big Tech to censor content, most notably the 2020 New York Post Hunter Biden laptop story. A Media Research Center poll found that Big Tech censorship of the Hunter scandal helped secure the 2020 election for Joe Biden.

Boebert cited a tweet from Elon Musk which stated “Government paid Twitter millions of dollars to censor info from the public.

Last week Boebert called out former Twitter executives for censorship and asked bluntly, ‘Did You Shadow-Ban My Account?’

Following this explosive moment at the hearing, Congresswoman Boebert shared receipts on Twitter.

She tweeted, “I received this document from Twitter staff last night. It shows that Twitter 1.0 executives shadow banned me as a sitting Member of Congress. If they did that to me, imagine the millions of Americans that will never know they were silenced by these woke execs.”

ELON Act requires the US Comptroller General to submit a report on all payments made to Twitter, Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Apple since January 1, 2015. Afterward, the report would be presented to the House Judiciary, Oversight and Accountability, and Intelligence Committees as well as the Senate Judiciary, Commerce, and Intelligence Committees.

The ELON Act already has several Republican co-sponsors, including Reps. Matt Gaetz and Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, Troy Nehls of Texas, Paul Gosar of Arizona, Mary Miller of Indiana and Eric Burlison of Missouri.

This “Big Brother” tactic that has pervaded our digital conversations for too long needs to be stopped, and thankfully, it looks like Lauren Boebert will not stand for it! By introducing the ELON Act we can finally put a dent in tech censorship and invite transparency back into our digital lives. We thank Lauren Boebert for her commitment to unspooling Big Tech’s unconstitutional grip on censorship so every American citizen can have their voices heard without fear or intimidation. Not only will it help stop censorship, but it is also intended to unearth any unaccounted money sent to organizations such as Twitter while they actively censor news stories they disagree with. This is a bold action by Boebert who has made it her mission to ensure Americans have access to unaltered news.
