AOC Launches Outrageous Attack on Christian Super Bowl Ad

Sports are usually a unifying event for the nation, but this year’s Super Bowl was lacking in that regard. After a certain commercial aired, AOC decided to take it as an opportunity to launch an attack against the right – as a low blow, any hope of a unified national experience during one of America’s biggest games was completely TRAMPLED on. BRAVO!

The Super Bowl provides an annual opportunity to bring Americans together, no matter where they come from or what their political opinions may be. Unfortunately, a Christian Non-profit’s attempt to bring unity through television commercials with Jesus as a mediator was met with mockery from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who likened the message to “fascism”. This criticism is both misguided and troubling, as she couldn’t put her political agenda aside for one night.

Daily wire reports, a Super Bowl message of hope and love from a Christian organization was mocked by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who likened the commercials extolling Jesus Christ to “fascism.”

During the Super Bowl, the nonprofit Servant Foundation sponsored two ads under the “He Gets Us” campaign. Among the first photos are black and white children hugging, and a poignant photo from 2019 shows 5-year-old Aubrey Burge comforting her 4-year-old brother while undergoing chemotherapy.

The second ad showed adults arguing and fighting with each other, then stated, “Jesus loved the people we hate,” reiterating, “He gets us. All of us.”

While the messages may have inspired millions of viewers of all faiths, they did not inspire AOC.

Instead, she took this away from the commercial: she tweeted, “Something tells me Jesus would not spend millions of dollars on Super Bowl ads to make fascism look benign.”

He Gets Us founder David Green, a devout Christian and major funder, said the campaign sought to reach the widest audience possible.

Green said, “You’re going to see it at the Super Bowl—‘He Gets Us.’ We are wanting to say—we being a lot of people—that He gets us ,He understands us. He loves who we hate. I think we have to let the public know and create a movement.”

He Gets Us campaign spokesperson Jason Vanderground told The Associated Press,

The group believed there was room for a message of love amid all the commercials for consumer goods.

AOC certainly missed the mark when it came to what was supposed to be a commercial that promoted unity between all faiths. This just goes to show that she is insensitive and lacking the spiritual connection God provides for believers. How absurd for the Democratic Party to call itself the party of unity when one of their spokesperson completely overlooks a basic unifying message.
