President Biden has made promises of transparency with his constituents since before taking office, but as each day passes with him at the helm it’s becoming increasingly clear that those expectations are unfounded. His latest remarks pertaining to our economy is a perfect example of gaslighting 101. Stick around to find out.

It is discouraging to witness President Joe Biden being dishonest with the American public yet again. Over the past two years, it has become increasingly evident that Biden and his administration have chosen certain facts to selectively report for their own political benefit. Lately Biden made a false claim about inflation levels, suggesting that prices are dropping overall, when in fact other reports say otherwise.

Town Hall reports, the President of the United States is once again lying to the American people, claiming that the nation is in better shape than he would have you believe.

As part of Biden’s false statement on Tuesday, he claimed that inflation, including food prices, had broken. Despite this, the January inflation report revealed that prices had increased.

Biden claimed, “Today’s report on inflation shows the good is that inflation in America is continuing to come down. Food prices at the grocery store are coming down.” 

However, the price of grocery store items rose by 0.5 percent since January. In the past 12 months, food prices have increased by 10.1 percent.

Everyday grocery store items are causing pain at the register for American families who continue to have to put food on the table.

As a result of higher consumer prices since Biden took office, Republicans have repeatedly attacked him.

The Republican congressman from Arizona, Andy Bigg, also called out Biden for lying about the true cost of food. 

It has been a long journey to get to this point, and one that we are still on the way to completing. We never thought we’d be in a situation where someone like this could actually exist. A pathological liar telling us to smell the roses when our way of life is literally crumbling right before our eyes; what a joke. When will his followers wake up and apologize to everyone they have hurt; for allowing themselves to believe the false promises he gave them? This chaotic chapter of American history will no doubt remain with us forever, unfortunately so.
