Don Lemon Suspended?! CNN Execs Throw Down Gauntlet as Janice Dean EXPLODES: ‘Don’t You Dare’

Outrage spread across the Internet after Don Lemon made sexist and misogynistic comments about Nikki Haley on Thursday morning during an appearance on CNN. Now, in response to a rising chorus of voices that called out CNN for allowing sexist conversations to continue unchecked live on the air, it looks like the network has finally thrown down the gauntlet.

Don Lemon has received an earful after a sexist jab he made at Nikki Haley backfired on the CNN anchor. Outrage grew when some noticed Don had not received so much as a slap on the wrist from CNN and many were left wondering what his employers would do if Don were held accountable for his insensitivity and sexist comment.

The Daily wire reports, During Thursday morning’s broadcast, CNN anchor Don Lemon stepped over a line when he referred to former Senator and Governor Nikki Haley as past her prime, according to Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean who cut loose on Don Lemon for his remarks.

Haley, who recently announced her candidacy for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, suggested that politicians over a certain age take mental competency tests.

After that, CNN’s anchor offered Haley some advice, saying that because she was no longer in her 20s, 30s, and 40s, she had also reached the “end of her prime” – and Dean, among others, weighed in on this issue.

Take a Look

Fox New’s Janice Dean instantly shot back at Don Lemon saying “I just “googled” and found out that I’m a year older than @NikkiHaley. According to @donlemon all women aged 50 and up are “past our prime!” I’d argue we’re just getting started!”

According to Fox Business host David Asman, former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was in her 50s and 60s when she served, adding, “Mrs. Thatcher began her historic 11-year run as PM in her 54th year.”

Ted Cruz weighed in stating “Leftist misogyny: Imagine, the year is 2015, and Don Lemon is saying the exact same thing about Hillary Clinton….”

Joe Concha even chimed in stating “In a related story, Don Lemon is 56 and older than Nikki Haley, who he says is past her prime. It’s an utter mystery why almost no one is watching this masterpiece of a morning show hastily put together by Chris Licht.”

Karin Lips stated So Don Lemon says Nikki Haley is past her prime as a woman. Didn’t take long for the first sexist attack on a female Republican candidate for president.

Karen Townsend drove the point home by stating “Democrats can’t define a  woman but Don Lemon says Nikki Haley is past her prime at age 51. You can’t make this stuff up.”

Lemon did end up issuing an apology for his comments. On Twitter, he wrote, “The reference I made to a woman’s “prime” this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it. A woman’s age doesn’t define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day.”

And on Friday, one day after he made the comment, he was noticeably absent from the network’s morning show. Unconfirmed reports indicate that he is on paid leave, and we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

It’s no surprise that sexist comments and misogyny have no place in the news media, yet disturbing situations like this one arrive time and time again, on liberal media outlets….of all things. We’ve seen it happen with Don Lemon and others in the past, yet nothing has been done to adequately address this issue by the liberal media elites. The unfortunate misery is that sexist remarks from men like Don Lemon continue to go unchecked by his employers, and colleagues. Holding people accountable, whether it be Don Lemon or someone else, is something CNN clearly isn’t interested in engaging in. To add insult to injury, liberals turn around and claim they are a champion of women’s rights – if that’s the case, let us see it!

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
