Twitter was abuzz lately, as Elon Musk revealed a playful surprise about the new executive in charge of the social media platform. After months of speculation surrounding his own future with the company, following a user poll, Musk boldly jested that there was a “new” CEO of Twitter – to everyone’s surprise it was a picture of an adorable pup. While not officially a statement from the company itself, this lighthearted and unexpected announcement certainly managed to garner massive attention and amusement.

Conservative brief reports, A few months ago, Twitter boss and billionaire Elon Musk publicly announced his intention to step down as CEO of the social media platform after a poll revealed that most users wanted him to step down.

On Tuesday, Musk jokingly announced there was a “new” company CEO on Twitter – but it was an image of a dog.

Tweeting: “The new CEO of Twitter is amazing,” he said, adding in another tweet, “So much better than that other guy.”

Earlier this year, Musk posted a Twitter poll asking if he should step down as CEO.

In the now-completed survey, Musk asked, “should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.” 

A total of 17.5 million votes were cast as of Monday morning, with 57.5 percent of voters wanting him to step down as CEO and 42.5 percent wanting him to stay on.

Earlier Senator Ted Cruz joined Fox Business to discuss what the senate is now capable of doing thanks to musk’s acquisition of twitter.
