The presidential primaries are set to get more interesting, as self-help guru Marianne Williamson is bringing a surprise challenge to establishment favorite Joe Biden in the upcoming race for the White House. 

Clearly there is no shortage of Americans who are fed up with the status quo and want to see a change in Washington. Most people in this country are still struggling to survive – and it looks like they aren’t going to get any help from Biden anytime soon.

American lookout reports, there seems to be a primary challenger for Joe Biden in 2024. 

Marianne Williamson appears to be preparing to challenge President Biden in 2024, claiming he is disconnected from average Americans.

Williamson stated in an interview on Friday “Apparently Biden’s going to run on a message that the economy is getting stronger. I think that speaks to the disconnect between the analysis of party elites versus the struggle of everyday Americans,”

Williamson continued “We’re being asked to limit our political imaginations — to just accept the low unemployment and low inflation rate, that that is sort of the best that we can get. But that is a hollow victory. The majority of Americans are still struggling to survive,”

In a statement to the news outlet, the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate said she’ll discuss her 2024 plans this weekend and that if she decides to run, she will “absolutely” run as a Democrat.

However in the 2020 Democrat presidential primary, Willaimson had to drop out due to low polling numbers.

With a spirituality-focused campaign promoting a politics of love and conscience, Williamson won admirers if not votes.

She called for a Department of Peace and an economic justice agenda to repair the damage that so-called trickle-down economics had caused.

Williamson said in a statement that she was suspending her campaign, because she would not be able to get enough votes to “elevate our conversation any more than it is now.”

Williamson the best-selling author and motivational speaker had called for $100 billion in reparations for slavery to be paid over 10 years, gun control, education reform, and equal rights for lesbian and gay communities.

She became a “spiritual guide” for Hollywood after appearing on Oprah Winfrey’s show. Additionally, she performed the wedding ceremony for Elizabeth Taylor in 1991.

While she was a long shot to win the Democratic nomination, her spiritual guidance books helped her qualify for early debates.

With presidential primary season around the corner and Republican challengers already gunning for President Biden, self-help guru Marianne Williamson has surprisingly decided to throw her hat in the ring. During her interview with Politico on Friday, Williamson’s message on the disconnect between Biden and average Americans was crystal clear: pretty much stating that Biden is a loser and it’s time for real change. Noting unemployment and inflation figures don’t translate to success or hope for millions of hardworking citizens across the United States, Williamson worries that Trump will win again if Democrats don’t implement changes fast. It remains to be seen whether this controversial statement will hurt or help her presidential hopes, but one thing is certain: primary season is in full swing.
