Vivek Ramaswamy, a conservative entrepreneur who specializes in health care and technology, announced his candidacy on Fox News Tuesday.
In his first campaign video, Ramaswamy said his entire campaign is “about the unapologetic pursuit of excellence in our country.”
When asked about his vision for the country compared to that of his current Republican opponents – Trump and Haley – Ramaswamy claimed that he would take Trump’s America First policies “to the next level.”
Ramaswamy, who announced his candidacy Tuesday, has a long way to go if his end goal is to be President, as it appears that a majority of Americans have yet to know his name. According to a Morning Consult survey updated on Wednesday tracking 2024 Republican Primary, Ramaswamy was not even listed as a candidate.
