Congressman Lauren Boebert is taking a bold stance on second amendment rights with her recent House Bill, H.R. 1095, which seeks to establish the United States’ national gun.
In the face of fierce anti-gun legislation, Boebert stands up for the second amendment and the founding fathers’ vision for a nation that respects its citizens’ right to bear arms.
Western Journal reports, a bill sponsored by House Republicans, including Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, is sure to enrage Democrats.
Boebert is joining Reps. George Santos of New York and Andrew Clyde of Georgia in cosponsoring HR 1095, which would declare a “National Gun of the United States.” The bill was introduced last week by Alabama Rep. Barry Moore.
On twitter rep Barry Moore stated “The #SecondAmendment is as American a right as freedom of speech, religion, & the press. Today I unveiled my bill to make the AR-15 the National Gun of America. We must send a message that we will meet every attack on any of our constitutional rights.”
That alone is enough to anger the Democrats, who have been railing against the Second Amendment for years, but the gun named in the bill is sure to anger them even further.
Shortly after Barry Moore introduced his legislation George Santos jumped on board and signaled his intent to back the bill, which brought a lot of media attention to the issue.
There is a simple political reason that these members of congress have chosen the AR15 as the national firearm.
Whenever the Second Amendment and gun control come into the public eye, the AR-15 is the weapon that incurs the wrath of the left the most.
Perhaps the most infamous instance of this was during the 2020 Democratic primaries, when Beto O’Rourke explicitly called for banning and confiscating all AR-15s.
In general, after every mass shooting, the Democrats immediately call for a ban on “assault weapons” and turn to the AR-15, which many of them mischaracterize as an “assault rifle.”
The Democrats often ignore the fact that many of the guns used in mass shootings were already illegal under state law, and criminals cleverly skirted the laws to obtain them. Mass shootings are not prevented by these restrictions.
Lauren Boebert’s bold new bill, H.R. 1095, has stirred up a frenzy in the media and amongst Second Amendment advocates nationwide. This controversial initiative seeks to create a national gun for the United States of America that would ultimately ensure our basic right to bear arms is guaranteed for generations to come. Republicans have expressed shock, outrage and anger at those who oppose it and are determined to fight tooth and nail for the constitutionality of firearms ownership in the country. Little do Liberals know, this move could change the course of history when it comes to American’s often rocky stance on guns, have significant implications for gun proliferation and even shift our entire culture around guns. With an inside look at this historic battle between advocates and opponents of this bill, we can begin to uncover what is really happening behind closed doors and why we must win the fight for our constitutional rights or face ugly consequences in our nation’s future.
