Don Lemon recently exposed Mayor Pete’s hypocrisy in the private jet scandal and actually did the job of a journalist…for once.

Trending Politics reports, in light of his frequent use of private jets, CNN host Don Lemon pressed Pete Buttigieg on Tuesday morning.

The Office of Inspector General of the Transportation Department has been requested to review flights Buttigieg made on FAA planes. According to reports, 18 flights, or seven trips, cost $41,905.20, and six of those flights were cheaper on the FAA plane than on commercial aircraft.

For all of the private jet travel Mayor Pete was doing, he could have easily popped onto a plane and been on the ground in Ohio following the toxic disaster.

The Hill reports, Senator Marco Rubio called for the resignation of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg after he came under fire for the department’s oversight of the US rail system following a train derailment in Ohio that spilled toxic chemicals.

Rubio stated in a letter to President Biden “Secretary Buttigieg refused to acknowledge the disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, until his intentional ignorance was no longer tenable. Even after acknowledging the tragedy, he continues to deflect any accountability for the safety of our nation’s rail system”

Buttigieg has dealt with controversy in recent months over flight delays and missteps at the Federal Aviation Administration. There are many who question Mayor Pete’s ability to perform as the Transportation Secretary.

Don Lemon must be using his secret superpower, the ability to grift, in his recent attempt to look like he is doing actual journalistic work, or that he has any integrity at all. Given CNN’s recent statement that they are working towards reporting from the middle, and moving away from being a 24/7 Trump hating, fake news machine. If Lemon was serious about wanting to hold Mayor Pete accountable he should have stated the prices for private jets are so much more costly than 41,000 for 18 trips. But nevertheless he did not, so while criticism is due towards Mayor Pete, Don Lemon is clearly still not the person to garner the truth from the situation.
