Biden’s War on Gasoline Continues with USPS Purchase – Guinea Pig for Green New Deal?

As the years progress, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore our President’s divisive agenda with its dastardly push towards ‘going green.’ From electric cars to a seemingly bottomless reliance on renewable energy sources, this administration is proving itself to be a ruse of the wealthiest – an attempt to fool us all into thinking they have our best interests at heart. Now the administration is pushing USPS towards the ev route by the end of the decade.

On Wednesday, the United States Postal Service made a leftist move towards promoting green transportation and weaning itself off of internal combustion vehicles. The USPS announced the purchase of 9,250 electric vehicles and 14,000 charging stations as part of the Biden administration’s long term energy plan. This aggressive push will certainly have its consequences like we already see in major leftist cities.

Daily wire reports, in a bid to phase out internal combustion vehicles from the federal fleet, the Biden administration announced on Wednesday that the Postal Service will purchase 9,250 electric vehicles and 14,000 charging stations.

It is part of a broader electrification strategy that includes the purchase of 66,000 electric vehicles by 2028. Due to the urgent need for new equipment, the agency also awarded contracts for 9,250 conventional internal combustion vehicles.

Apparently the deal is a partnership with also transitioning Ford.

The total investment in the electrification program is expected to reach $9.6 billion, which includes roughly $3 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act. White House officials previously announced that nearly three-quarters of Next Generation Delivery Vehicles would run on batteries rather than internal combustion engines.

The Biden administration wants all of the federal fleet to be zero-emissions by 2035 and will procure only these vehicles by 2027, according to a White House document.

It follows Vice President Kamala Harris’ effort to electrify school buses across the country by purchasing electric vehicles. As part of the project, nearly $1 billion will be used from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for rebates awarded to school districts purchasing the vehicles. The White House plans to spend $5 billion on the program overall.

The US Postal Service was running fine on combustion engine vehicles, but leftists are pushing for electric vehicles with a massive investment into the project. This huge injection of cash is bound to result in new problems and bureaucrats counting their paychecks rather than citizens being served efficiently. It appears no one believes this is exactly what the country needs right now – this investment could be better spent elsewhere. With the nationwide EV grid problem this is not the solutions.
