Sen. J.D. Vance Emerges as Savior for East Palestine with Innovative PPP Solution!

JD Vance, Ohio’s freshman Senator, is proving to his constituents that he has their best interests in mind. In his latest proposal for the people of East Palestine, Ohio, he is showing that his commitment to them is genuine and unwavering. Since this disaster, it has certainly looked like they only have one senator representing their interests in Washington.

Freshman Senator J.D. Vance wants to bring hope back to his constituents in East Palestine, Ohio. In the wake of a derailed train carrying hazardous chemicals, businesses and workers have been adversely affected in the small town. Vance’s efforts are backing positive change by proposing a “version” of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to provide relief and support to these impacted individuals and businesses. Recognizing the financial uncertainty of his constituents.

Breitbart reports, In response to a derailed train carrying chemicals in East Palestine, Ohio, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) says a “version” of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) could help workers and businesses.

According to a recent Washington Post opinion piece, the federal government and Norfolk Southern Railway could help “not just tomorrow, but months from now” if they invest in the community.

Vance wrote, “Without special refinancing, homeowners will be underwater as flight from the community drives home prices lower, decimating the tax base on which local schools and public services rely. Farms will require direct support. Underfunded schools will need help.”

Here is what the senator said the people also need from the federal government.

In an op-ed published over the weekend, the Buckeye State Republican noted that East Palestine has only about 5,000 residents. There is a median income of $44,498 in the town, and its voters backed Donald Trump by 71 percent in 2020.

In addition to the derailed train, Vance said the town has “suffered substantially from the wave of deindustrialization that saw millions of jobs leave for China, Mexico and other countries.”

After the derailment, Ohio’s lawmakers – like Vance – sprang into action. In contrast, Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg were nowhere to be found. It was only one day after former President Donald Trump visited that Buttigieg paid a visit.

Sen. JD Vance is proving why the people of Ohio made the right choice when they voted him in over incumbent Tim Ryan. Even small, rural towns, such as East Palestine, are seeing the implications of choosing a Republican representative. Under certain Democrats’ leadership, such communities were often ignored and became neglected. However, now that Vance has taken his place in the senate, these areas are receiving attention and a voice they deserve.  In short, if the people of Ohio had chosen differently than Senator JD Vance, those living in East Palestine wouldn’t have had nearly as much representation or prospects for change as they do today.
