INTRO. Biden’s mishandling of the economy, disasters, foreign relations, rampant cultural issues, and a political divide that is almost insurmountable, it is clear that Joe Biden is not fit to be president of the united states for another term.
Trending Politics reports, Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia refused to support Joe Biden’s reelection campaign. As part of his remarks, Sen. Manchin suggested that other Democrats would challenge President Biden in the Democratic presidential primary of 2024.
Joe Manchin was recently asked if he would endorse Biden during a CBS morning show.
In an interview with Fox Business’ Neil Cavuto on March 2, the West Virginia senator made similar remarks.
With the speculation heating up about the 2024 presidential election, the Democrats already have a contender, and that person wants to debate Biden.
New York Times reports. As Marianne Williamson launched her second presidential campaign, the self-help author called Biden a “weak choice” and said Democrats shouldn’t fear primary competition.
During Marianne Williamson’s last run for president, she was a curiosity among more than two dozen candidates. Now she’s trying to get people to take her seriously.
There are few Democrats who are taking her candidacy seriously. She did not receive any response from the White House regarding her entry or her criticisms of Mr. Biden. Jaime Harrison, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, had no comment when asked about her announcement. And even some of her top staffers from the 2020 campaign described themselves as solid Biden supporters who wished she wouldn’t run again.
Ms. Williamson raised $8.4 million in her last campaign. The amount was hardly enough to be competitive for the party’s nomination, but it was still more than was raised by one senator, Michael Bennet, three governors, John Hickenlooper, Jay Inslee, and Steve Bullock, and three House members, Tim Ryan, Eric Swalwell, and Seth Moulton. She said she had already raised $250,000 and had a dozen people on her staff.
Williamson expressed her wishes to debate Biden, and has publicly criticized his time in office. Williamson further stated that Democrats should not fear an open Democrat primary, and denounces the claim that a primary would hurt Democrats.
In response to Marianne Williamson’s request for a debate the Democratic National Committee stated that it does not currently plan to hold debates.
With inflation mounting and foreign relations plummeting under Biden’s watch, it’s clear that his administration has failed to get America back on track. It remains to be seen if this is simply Manchin setting out the groundwork for his own presidential campaign or if it could signal the end of Biden’s chances of re-election due to other Democrats joining in opposition. With many already suggesting he may be too old and out of touch to win another term, only time will tell if Manchin’s comments have any impact on the election come 2024.
