Republicans CELEBRATE after Securing MAJOR Victory in FCC Nomination Fight

Republicans everywhere are cheering after scoring a major victory in the FCC nomination process after months and months of being on-edge. Why exactly is this news such a big deal? Keep watching to find out as I’ve got all of the details.

As a result of criticism for her anti-police rhetoric and other controversial views, President Joe Biden’s FCC nominee, Gigi Sohn, withdrew her nomination Tuesday.

Both Republicans and Democrats severely criticized Sohn’s controversial views, leading her to withdraw her nomination. The nomination battle has been ongoing for 16 months.

The Democrat nominee cited the cable and media lobbyists as being “unrelenting, dishonest, and cruel” in their attacks on her.

In a statement to the Washington Post, Sohn said, “It is a sad day for our country and our democracy when dominant industries, with assistance from unlimited dark money, get to choose their regulators. And with the help of their friends in the Senate, the powerful cable and media companies have done just that.”

Here’s how the White House reacted to Sohn’s nomination withdrawal on Tuesday:

Many Republicans cheered Sohn’s nomination withdrawal, with Texas Senator Ted Cruz releasing in a statement, “The withdrawal of Ms. Sohn’s nomination is a major victory and represents a strong bipartisan agreement that we need a fair and impartial candidate who can receive the support needed for confirmation. The FCC is not a place for partisan activists; free speech is too important. ”

Cruz added, “Now, it’s time for the Biden administration to put forth a nominee who can be confirmed by the full Senate and is committed to serving as an even-handed and truly independent regulator.”

After 16 months of waiting, Republicans have scored a major victory after Gigi Sohn, President Joe Biden’s FCC nominee, withdrew her nomination due to widespread criticism and resistance. Her far-left agenda and woke beliefs were criticized by both sides of the aisle, showing that bipartisanship still exists in some forms in American politics. As the dust settles from this heated nomination spat, Republicans can now safely rest assured knowing their worth-the-wait fight against this nominee was worth it in the long run.
