The Republican National Committee has criticized Biden for taking “yet another long weekend vacation” while the country deals with multiple crises, including the Ohio disaster site, which he has not visited yet.
Biden departed the White House on Friday en route to Delaware for the 66th time since taking office.
According to the Republican National Committee, Biden has spent 305 days on vacation, with this weekend marking days 306, 307, and 308 – which is approximately 40% of his presidency.
During just the first two years of his presidency, Biden spent 197 days in Delaware – frequently visiting his homes near Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach on weekends.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released a statement on Biden’s frequent vacation trips, saying, “For Biden, it’s vacation first, the American people last. One month after the toxic train disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, Biden is heading out on yet another weekend trip after already spending eight days on vacation since the derailment. Leadership shows up, Biden does not.”
It is shameful that Joe Biden continues his streak of abandoning Americans. Despite the multiple crises the nation is facing, the President has taken a total of 308 vacation days so far. This marks about 40% of his presidency spent away from office. As the Republican National Committee has so aptly put it: wouldn’t it be nice to have a president putting America First rather than taking all these vacations? Instead, we’ve got First Vacationer Joe Biden who seems more focused on his beach getaways than on leading our country out of hardship – an inexcusable lack of leadership.
