Many Americans feel the government is not taking strong enough action against China for these offenses and demand a changing of the tide.

Daily wire reports, the majority of American voters want President Joe Biden to take a stronger stance against China, a new poll shows.

A survey by The Trafalgar Group found that nearly 57.6% of respondents said the government should lead a global coalition to contain China to address tensions between the United States and China.

17.1% of voters said the Biden Administration should “continue to do exactly what they are doing in response to tensions with China,” while 8.8% wanted to de-escalate tensions with China “in order to appease them.” 16.5% of respondents were uncertain how to answer the poll question.

According to party affiliation, more than 76% of Republicans and nearly 40% of Democrats support an aggressive response. In a poll of independents, 54% said Biden should take a more aggressive approach.

This poll comes amid mounting tensions between the United States and China.

Fox news reports, according to former Army Secretary Patrick Murphy, China’s increased military aggression has led to an inevitable breach of U.S. sovereignty, and Americans should be reminded that “we’re the underdog.” His comments come, recently, after the Pentagon released a statement revealing that the U.S. military shot down a third “high-altitude airborne object” over northern Canada.

As inflation continues to surge and the economy flounders, President Joe Biden should take a stronger stance against China if he wishes to protect America’s interests. Recent military aggression from China has sparked tension with the United States that requires immediate resolution in order to maintain U.S. supremacy. Furthermore, reports of espionage and intellectual property theft pose economic threats that require swift resolution. Given China’s colonial ambition and increasingly bold moves, it is imperative that Biden provide clear direction on how to respond, lest weak responses invite more unrestrained behavior in the future.
