Biden Demands Companies Submit to “Diversity Pledge”

It looks like President Biden’s administration wants to teach businesses a lesson—follow their lead of diversity and inclusion or pay the price. This is just what we’ve seen so far with their failing administration and now they’re demanding companies adopt their horrendous policies if they want federal help.

The Biden administration has recently unveiled a massive $6.3 billion decarbonization fund with the aim of incentivizing companies to reduce their carbon emissions. As part of this initiative, the U.S. Department of Energy is requiring that all companies wishing to access these funds make commitments to an additional community benefits plan involving diversity and inclusion practices in their operations.

Daily caller reports, a $6.3 billion decarbonization fund established by the Biden administration will require companies to submit a “Community Benefits Plan,” the Department of Energy announced Wednesday.

DOE said, in applying to the fund, known as the Industrial Demonstrations Program, “20 percent of the technical merit review” will be determined by how well the plans advance four administration goals: investing in America’s workforce, engaging communities and labor, improving diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and implementing Justice 40.”

Justice40 is a White House initiative that targets 40% of certain federal spending projects to benefit disadvantaged communities that are “overburdened by pollution.”

According to a White House fact sheet, the program will focus on “decarbonization technologies” in the industrial sector, with a special focus on iron, steel, aluminum, concrete, and cement.

A large part of the program’s funding comes from the Biden administration’s signature climate bill, the Inflation Reduction Act, which offers hundreds of billions of dollars in subsidies for green technology.

In a press release, the DOE said the initiative is part of the Biden administration’s goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Here is what Biden warned us about what his administration would focus on when he first took over.

We do hope more corporate companies don’t fall for this trap to harm their own companies by hiring people who are less qualified for positions. Not only does it do their company a disservice but it does a world of harm to competent workers who actually deserve the jobs. If they want proof that diversity and inclusion doesn’t work, all they have to do is look at the Biden administration’s performance two years later.

Let’s continue this conversation, in the comments below.
