In a stunning display of unconstitutional, federally illegal and unethical political pandering, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has pushed through an irresponsible bill allowing illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses. 

Illegal immigrants are being given special treatment as priority over American workers as the slanted political agenda thrusts full force ahead despite any potential consequences.

Breitbart reports, Gov. Tim Walz (D) signed a Democrat-approved bill into law that could allow 77,000 illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses.

Democratic lawmakers in the Minnesota state house and senate approved a bill to eliminate the legal residency requirement for obtaining a driver’s license. Instead, illegal aliens would be able to secure licenses to legally drive vehicles.

Specifically, the law repeals a 20-year-old law that required those seeking driver’s licenses to be either legal residents or citizens of the United States. Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) signed that law.

Since 2015, more than a million illegal aliens have been able to obtain driver’s licenses in California, one of the first states to pass such a law. In other words, nearly 40 percent of California’s illegal alien population now has a driver’s license.

While Minnesota is opening its doors to illegal immigrants, New york city is crumbling under the influx of illegal immigrants being sent to the city.

Washington examiner reports, it has been just seven months since Republican governors at the border challenged New York City’s commitment to be a “sanctuary city” for illegal immigrants. The Big Apple has already conceded defeat.

After months of complaints that the city’s resources were strained, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, announced that the city will relocate illegal immigrants across the country. As of March 2023, there were 79,937 people living in shelters in New York City, according to Adams’s policy briefing. … This is due in large part to the influx of newcomers. Our shelter system is full, and we are running out of funds, staff, and space.”

In just seven months, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants broke New York City’s sanctuary city convictions. With hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border every month and settling in much smaller border towns in Texas and Arizona, it becomes clear that calling yourself a sanctuary city is only possible if you do not have to deal with a border crisis yourself.

Governor Tim Walz’s unconstitutional decision to sign a Democratic bill which would allow 77,000 illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses goes against federal law and is certainly an unethical move. It is an irresponsible decision that demonstrates an agenda by Minnesota’s lawmakers to cater to the unconstitutional interests of illegal aliens. It is remarkable that this unconstitutional action was taken despite the existing 20 year-old law passed by Governor Pawlenty which required those seeking driver’s licenses to be either legal residents or citizens of the United States; at the time, such was considered ethical and responsible in accordance with lawful residency requirements. Ultimately, Governor Walz’s agenda cannot go unchecked and more conservative measures must be taken in order to ensure federally legal standards are held as a priority.
