Americans Say Enough is Enough: Time To Label Mexican Cartels What They Really Are

The Biden Administration’s blunder at our border has proven to be nothing short of disastrous for the American people. From our Constitution and national security being threatened to a surge in illegal immigration, President Biden and his cohorts have got it all wrong. To add insult to injury, now the Mexican cartels have become a major thorn, creating another obstacle we need to contend with. A new poll now demands accountability.

It is about time the American people be fed up with the criminal activities and abuses of the Mexican cartels. The results of the recent Rasmussen Reports survey speak to this sentiment, revealing that most likely voters want their government to finally designate them as a terrorist organization. This action would constitute a strong message to the recently bold Mexican leadership.

Breitbart reports, 79 percent think Mexican drug cartels are either very or somewhat serious. A majority of them (55 percent) believe Mexican drug cartels pose a “very” serious threat to the U.S. The majority of Democrats (74 percent), Republicans (89 percent), and independents (74 percent) agree.

Most respondents, 69 percent, agreed that the U.S. government should designate Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations. Democrat, Republican, and independent polls indicate a bipartisan consensus in favor of designating Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations with 65 percent, 80 percent, and 63 percent agreeing.

In the survey, 950 likely U.S. voters were interviewed between March 9 and 12, 2023, with a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.

This month, Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL) and Roger Marshall (R-KS) reintroduced the Drug Cartel Terrorist Designation Act, which would designate Mexican cartels as terrorist groups.

Senator Graham while answering questions from the press stressed the U.S. potential use of force to stop the cartel’s fentanyl operation causing extreme havoc in our country.

This also comes after the AP reported that “Two of four Americans were killed in Mexico when their van was caught in the crossfire of rival cartel groups last week.”

As a result, Attorney General Merrick Garland believes there are “diplomatic concerns” with regard to designating the Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

Americans are tired of people taken for granted for our kindness. This is unacceptable from a country like Mexico which benefits a deal from us to be treated like this. Especially after the Mexican President threatened to interfere in our elections  after we shared our intentions to handle the cartel ourselves because they refuse to do the job. It’s time Mexico be reminded who they are messing with.
