Behind Closed Doors: Williamson Accused of Unbridled Anger

Fear filled the Williamson campaign staff as they allege tales of a pride-filled, raging Marianne Williamson.

As the 2024 Presidential race heats up, questions over Williamson’s anger management have been brought to the forefront, with former staffers speaking out about explosive outbursts and feared verbal abuse.

Daily Wire reports. During Marianne Williamson’s 2020 presidential campaign, former staffers claimed she was prone to angry outbursts and verbal abuse.

Several of Williamson’s former staffers told Politico that she was a very different person behind closed doors than she claimed to be. Williamson was a self-help author and spiritual adviser before she ran for president.

In March, Williamson launched her second bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

One anonymous staffer stated “It would be foaming, spitting, uncontrollable rage,It was traumatic. And the experience, in the end, was terrifying.”

On several occasions, Williamson’s loud outbursts prompted hotel security to check her welfare, and she was alleged to have thrown her phone at staffers who had set her off at least three times, according to staffers. During the interview, all of the staff members said she yelled at people until they cried.

As the 2020 New Hampshire state director for Williamson, Paul Hodes (D-NH) confirmed the anonymous accounts made by other staffers, telling Politico, “Those reports of Ms. Williamson’s behavior are consistent with my observations, consistent with contemporaneous discussions I had about her conduct with staff members, and entirely consistent with my own personal experience with her behavior on multiple occasions.”

Williamson responded to the accusations by claiming her former staffers were attacking her to curry favor with “the political establishment.” “This Presidential Campaign expects concerted efforts to dismiss and denigrate us. But the amplification of outright lies should not occur.”

One incident that several staffers recalled – when she got angry during a campaign trip to South Carolina and pounded a car door so hard with her fist that she ended up having to go to urgent care – was confirmed by her. “A car door is not a person. I would never be physically hurtful to a person,” she said.

Additionally, she dismissed reports that she yelled at staffers, saying, “I find it hard to believe that people in politics have never raised their voice before.”

Oprah Winfrey’s spiritual adviser is accused of throwing tantrums when her hotel rooms lack bathtubs, and blaming aides for canceling events.

Another aide spoke out saying “She would get caught in these vicious emotional loops where she would yell and scream hysterically, This was day after day after day. It wasn’t that she was having a bad day or moment. It was just boom, boom, boom — and often for no legitimate reason.”

Williamson also required all campaign staff to sign nondisclosure agreements, and once suggested tracking aides’ cellphone activity.

One aide stated. “The message was: ‘Don’t f— with me because I will make your life a living hell.’ So no one f—ed with her,”

With Marianne Williamson’s impassioned presidential campaign marching towards its ultimate conclusion, stories of pride and ambition now fuel the news cycle in tandem with reports of rage-fueled unsubstantiated verbal abuse by the candidate herself. Amidst this chaos, her former staff members are coming forward to reveal a “real her” behind closed doors. As the 2024 election season heats up these previously whispered rumors serve as an important reminder that in addition to the pride and strong ideals any candidate embodies, understanding the darker parts of their personality is integral for any electorate making such a crucial decision. Fearsome allegations of rampant anger management issues must be taken into account before trusting anyone with such extraordinary power.
