President Biden, the king of gaffes, has done it again. This time, he’s been mercilessly mocked online for making laughable claims about Republicans. He recently sent out a tweet attacking Republicans that led to a plethora of jokes and parodies. It seems that every time the President opens his mouth, he provides fodder for his critics.
As a result of his claim that “MAGA” Republicans want to cut border security funding, President Biden got the wrath of the Twitter ratio on Saturday.
Biden tweeted: “MAGA House Republican proposals would slash funding for border security – a move that could allow nearly 900 pounds of fentanyl into our country. We need more resources to secure the border. Not less.”
In his tweet, Biden included a photo of himself shaking hands with a CBP officer, taken on his first and only trip to the border in El Paso, Texas, in January.
As thousands of illegal immigrants flood into the U.S. undetected every day, Biden took the brief trip to El Paso following criticism for not visiting the border since taking office. At the time, he had already made 59 trips to Delaware and stopped for ice cream at least eight times during his nearly two years in office after saying that there were “more important things going on” instead of visiting the border.
Anyways, as soon as Biden’s post was published over the weekend, Republicans noticed it and Twitter users overwhelmingly “ratioed” it negatively, giving it far more negative replies than retweets.
Biden’s tweet has left many conservatives scratching their heads. His claims about the GOP slashing border funding are simply not true, and the fact that he would make such a statement only reinforces the perception that he is out of touch with reality. With each passing day, it becomes clearer that the Biden administration is not capable of leading the country effectively. We can only hope that the American people will see through the President’s hollow words and demand real action from their leaders.
