Former NJ Governor Explores Bid for 2024 GOP Nomination

Folks, it’s a shame that yet another unremarkable former republican governor of New Jersey is considering throwing  their hat into the 2024 presidential nomination. The irony is especially sharp in this case, as the man attempted a run at the same position back in 2016 but barely made a peep at the time. Now, after 8 years of obscurity and undoubtedly millions of dollars that might be spent, he thinks he will have better luck in 2024.

Today marks the first visit of former Republican Governor Chris Christie to New Hampshire since 2015. With reports that he is contemplating launching a 2024 GOP presidential campaign, Christie’s trip to New Hampshire holds great possible significance. The state is known as the bellwether in the presidential nominating calendar and his visit could decide whether he will get into the race or not.

Fox reports, according to Christie, a key factor in his decision will be whether he sees a path to victory against former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

New Hampshire Institute of Politics will host Christie for a town-hall style event tonight, which for more than two decades has been a must-stop for potential candidates from both major parties.

Fox News first reported that he would hold a town hall and have dinner later that evening with close friends and supporters in New Hampshire.

In the past year, the former two-term governor, who failed to secure the GOP’s presidential nomination in 2016, and considered one of the best communicators within the party, has repeatedly indicated that he is considering running for the White House again in 2024.

Ahead of his trip, Christie told Fox News Digital he plans to visit the Granite State and talk to people there.

Christie said he will decide on 2024 within 45 to 60 days. According to him, three factors would influence his decision: “seeing a pathway to winning… believing that you have something at that moment to offer the country that it needs to hear,” and whether he would have the support of his family.

If Chris Christie does indeed choose to run, he would peak some interests however realistically speaking he stands no chance. The conservative voters know exactly who they want and it’s obvious, but we can not make that prediction prematurely, but save your money.
