Geraldo Rivera Met with WAVES of Backlash after Launching Attack on the Second Amendment

Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera has recently come under fire for his remarks on the Second Amendment. During a heated discussion on the network, Rivera openly criticized the constitutional right to bear arms. His comments have caused a stir in conservative circles, with many calling out Rivera for his lack of respect for the Constitution.

On the day after a school shooting in Nashville left six dead, Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera attacked the Second Amendment.

In Tennessee, a 28-year-old woman who was undergoing “emotional health treatment” gunned down three nine-year-olds and three adults before she was shot and killed by police.

While FOX News’ Brian Kilmeade argued that the mentally disturbed shooter’s family bears some responsibility for the tragedy, Rivera disagreed, and instead attacked the Second Amendment.

Rivera echoed similar comments on Twitter, tweeting: “If you believe Audrey Hale-the killer of the three children and three adult school staffers in Nashville-had a constitutional right to carry the two AR-15’s used in the massacre, then you’re part of the problem.”

Rivera’s comments were met with loads of backlash.

One person tweeted back at Rivera: “You are never going to get rid of guns in this country. The 2nd Amendment and the courts will never ever allow it, so why are you putting your kids at risk by not securing our vulnerable schools and pursuing an impossible goal instead?”

Another commented: “More people are killed everyday by drunk drivers, so lets take away all cars and all alcohol. Lets charge car manufactures and alcohol producers every time a drunk driver kills. Let’s pass laws against drunk driving or against killing someone. We have them already!!!”

And another added: “You are part of the problem and always have been. This is a mental health issue. People like this belong locked away in a mental asylum. The States should start placing armed guards in every school and this would never happen.”

Geraldo Rivera’s attack on the Second Amendment has ignited controversy in the media and has re-sparked debates among Democrats about the right to bear arms. While some have applauded his bold stance on gun control, others have criticized his disregard for the Constitution and the values it embodies. Whether or not Rivera’s remarks will have any lasting impact remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the Democrats will use this tragedy that happened in Nashville as a way to push their anti-Second Amendment agenda.
