This week, after the tragic school shooting in Nashville, Biden’s press secretary refused to answer directly whether the President’s proposed firearm ban would ultimately lead to confiscation.

A question regarding whether President Joe Biden’s proposed ban on some semi-automatic long guns will lead to the confiscation of millions of Americans’ guns was not answered by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday.

This question comes after a transgender shooter killed six people, including three children, at a Christian school in Nashville.

Similarly, the reporter asked Jean-Pierre about Republican lawmakers who noted that these weapons are in literally tens of millions of homes across the U.S., making bans impossible.

According to Jean-Pierre, Democrats are not to blame for the lack of an assault weapons ban and that Republicans in Congress should reflect on themselves.

It should be noted that during Biden’s first two years as president and under Obama, Democrats controlled the White House, Senate, and House, but never passed an assault weapons ban.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration can’t even give a straight answer as to what exactly an assault weapon is. Here’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas this week dancing around the question:

For firearm owners who fear government overreach or intrusion, the stakes are high. They contend that they need weapons to defend themselves, their families, and their properties, as well as to deter and resist potential tyrants or aggressors. They also argue that the more regulations exist, the more criminals will ignore or circumvent them, leaving law-abiding citizens weaker and more vulnerable. Therefore, they demand clear and honest answers from policymakers about their intentions regarding firearms.
