The bald eagle, America’s national bird, is a symbol of strength and resilience. But in recent years, these majestic creatures have been facing increasing danger from human activity.

The bald eagle is a majestic bird that has been the national symbol of the United States since 1782. It is a powerful symbol of strength, courage, and resilience. Unfortunately, these birds are not immune to human cruelty and have suffered greatly due to illegal hunting and other forms of abuse.

Breitbart reports, few weeks after tragedy struck their nest, a pair of bald eagles in Minnesota welcomed an eaglet into the world.

Eagles featured on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) EagleCam have had a difficult time in recent months, especially when a cold snap hit the region in February.

In the cold weather, snow covered the nest where the mother was protecting her two eggs.

She is seen rising up and shaking it off in video footage

It was her mate who brought food and helped incubate the eggs at one point. One of the eggs, however, broke in a rare instance.

Despite the tragic incident, the eagles continued to protect the second egg and waited for it to hatch. An egg finally hatched on Sunday, and a chick emerged.

Immediately following the eaglet’s birth, video footage shows its parents gently covering the baby with their feathers to keep it warm.

Minnesota DNR tweeted “Woo-hoo! The egg in the DNR’s Nongame Wildlife EagleCam has hatched and there’s an eaglet in the nest. The parents are already hard at work taking care of the new eagle “

While this amazing scene was heart warming, there are others who do not care about the American symbol.

New York Post reports, recently, two Honduran nationals suspected of being illegal migrants were arrested in Nebraska after shooting a North American bald eagle.

In a press release, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office identified the two men as Ramio Hernandez-Tziquin and Domingo Zetino-Hernandez, both 20-year-old Honduran nationals.

According to the news release from the sheriff’s office, they planned on cooking and eating the bird.

According to sources, the men lacked identification.

It is clear that if we want to protect our national bird for generations to come then we must take action now before it’s too late. Conservatives should join forces with conservationists and environmentalists alike in order to ensure that future generations can continue enjoying the beauty of these majestic creatures for years to come!
