Americans are in shock and disbelief as the Biden Administration presides over a blatantly irresponsible, unchecked northern border crisis that only worsens each day. 

Under the dereliction of duty by this administration, illegal crossings have turned what was previously a secure northern border with Canada into chaos and anarchy.

Townhall reports, as House Republicans continue to work to shine a light on  and bring accountability to  the Biden administration, the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability drew attention to the growing border crisis at the United States’ northern border on Tuesday.

Dan Bishop (R-NC) blasted Biden for failing to address the northern border crisis like he has failed to address the southern border crisis.

Illegal border crossers entering the U.S. from Canada “have multiplied rapidly” and are already overwhelming Customs and Border Protection, local law enforcement, and local communities.

According to Bishop, the limited action taken by the Biden administration in response to the southern border crisis means Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has “surged resources away from other areas critical to homeland security, including the northern border.” Biden’s administration made one too little, too late move in 2022 by sending “over 20 percent of northern border workers” to the border with Mexico.

Bishop noted that enough fentanyl was transported across the U.S.-Canada border during fiscal years 2022 and 2023 to kill 3.4 million Americans, but that’s just what was apprehended. It is estimated that border officials are only seizing five to ten percent of drugs smuggled across the southwest border, and with far less manpower in the north, over a much larger border, “it is difficult to imagine what narcotis are coming over the northern border that we are not fully aware of.”

Has there ever been a more irresponsible, dereliction of duty than what we are witnessing at our northern and southern borders under the Biden administration? Government officials have been unable to contain and manage the chaotic inflow of illegal immigrants despite multiple warnings and alarms about the situation. It is beyond disappointing, it’s shameful that Biden has failed to prevent this border disaster from happening. We must ask ourselves, how could the leader of the United States allow this anarchy? How have Americans become so vulnerable at their own borders? Biden’s failed leadership here has resulted in misery for many, leaving citizens feeling nothing but disappointment and shock.
