Crime So Bad Even Starbucks CEO Is Complaining About It

As President Joe Biden continues to push his pro-crime agenda, crime rates across the nation have been skyrocketing.

In cities like Portland, Oregon, which are under the control of Democrats, crime has reached an all-time high. This is a direct result of Biden’s failed leadership and lack of action on this issue.

Daily Wire reports, Howard Schultz, the former CEO of Starbucks, told a Senate panel on Wednesday that American cities suffer from serious crime and homelessness problems.

The company announced last summer that it would close 16 stores in major metropolises, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., due to rampant crime.

In a leaked video, Schultz argued that many of the shuttered stores were profitable and that government officials were neglecting to address public safety issues.

Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) asked the veteran executive whether he still believes “lawlessness in this country is out of control” and whether the Biden administration should restore “law and order.”

Starbucks is not the only corporate giant to close locations in crime ridden cities.

Fox Business reports, following Walmart’s announcement that crime and theft were taking their toll on the company, Cracker Barrel announced it was leaving Portland, Oregon, this week.

As a result of the virus, Cracker Barrel, which has over 600 locations nationwide, closed its final restaurant in Portland.

The company said in a statement “As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the performance of our stores, using various criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our guests and our business,”

They continued with “With that, we are saddened that we have been unable to overcome the impact the virus had on our business and have made the difficult decision to close the Beaverton, Tualatin, and Bend locations on March 20. The decision to close a store is never one we take lightly, and our focus right now is in assisting our impacted employees during this transition.”

In a statement to Fox Business asking for specifics on what aspects of the virus that led to the closures, a Cracker Barrel spokesperson said, “Like so many other companies, the virus impacted our business, and we have struggled to staff and profitably run these stores. Despite the extra efforts made, we couldn’t viably continue to keep our doors open.”

Cracker Barrel’s decision comes shortly after Walmart announced it was closing all of its Portland stores due to financial reasons, stemming from high crime and theft.

It is clear that Joe Biden’s failed leadership on this issue has had a devastating effect on many communities across America. His inaction has allowed criminals to run rampant while innocent citizens suffer from rising levels of violence and fear for their safety every day. It is time for him to take responsibility for his actions and put an end to this crisis before it gets any worse.
