On Tuesday, CNN’s Don Lemon was taken aback by the brazenness of Michael Cohen’s attorney as he defended his client who turned coat on former President Donald Trump.
When asked if Cohen had a pivotal role in Trump’s indictment, the lawyer went on to passionately suggest that Trump should be prosecuted as if Cohen had to pay for his actions.
Daily caller reports, Don Lemon went to town against Michael Cohen’s attorney over the indictment of Donald Trump.
Trump was indicted Thursday on allegations that his then-lawyer Michael Cohen paid hush money to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. Trump’s alleged payout was investigated by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, led by Alvin Bragg.
Davis, Cohen’s attorney, said it was a day of “profound sadness” because of the indictment, but Americans should still “celebrate” the “constitutional principle” of justice.
Lemon then mentioned Karen McDougal, who claims to have had an affair with Trump and received hush money. Trump is heard on tape in 2016 telling Cohen he would set up all the “funding” with former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg to silence McDougal. Cohen pleaded guilty to paying hush money to McDougal after she allegedly exposed the affair in an article in 2018 after Trump said Cohen should pay “cash.”
In response to Lemon’s question, Davis agreed the tape does not provide evidence that Trump organized the alleged payoff. According to Davis, he infers McDougal is Riley in Bragg’s case against Trump, but does not know if Trump reimbursed the National Enquirer for stopping the McDougal story.
This is where the true craziness begins.

Then, Davis said he hoped Cohen would testify in Trump’s indictment if Cohen were prosecuted for his involvement. He then claimed that Trump deserved to be prosecuted if Cohen was prosecuted.
The former personal lawyer to President Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty in 2022 to eight counts of campaign finance violations and other charges, saying Trump instructed him to pay off two women who claim to have had affairs with him.
Without a doubt, this false sense of bravery from Cohen’s attorney has caused many to question if the legal advice given was flawed and biased, proclaiming it to be just another part of the rigorous witch hunt against former President Trump. Lemon made note of this issue with an air of both shock and awe while pointing out how such an arrogant attitude could lead to bigger problems down the line considering the amount of potentially damaging fake news already floating around and little regard for Cohen’s credibility after admitting he lied. No matter where you politically stand, this can all be summed up with one word; shameful.
