WATCH: Ted Cruz Heap Praise on the Next NASA Crew that will Go Down in History

The world is abuzz with excitement as NASA announces the crew that will make history by being the first humans to land on the moon in 50 years. This achievement is not only a testament to the resilience and endurance of the human spirit but also a testament to the power and ingenuity of the American space program.

The first astronaut crew to land on the moon in more than 50 years was announced by NASA on Monday. The team consists of three Americans – Victor Glover, Christina Hammock Koch and Reid Wiseman – and one Canadian, Jeremy Hansen.

The announcement took place at the NASA Johnson Space Center’s Ellington Field in Houston. Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz was at the ceremony, and called the crew “badass.”

Until this mission, there has not been a crewed mission to the moon since the Apollo era. This crew represents a number of firsts for diverse identities, including Glover, a black man, Koch, a woman, and Hansen, a Canadian.

Glover will pilot Artemis II, while Wiseman will command it.

As soon as Nov. 2024, NASA’s Orion spaceship will carry an assortment of astronauts on the Artemis II mission around the moon for 10 days.

Despite the fact that Artemis II astronauts will not walk on the moon, NASA promised that Artemis III will feature a woman and a black person walking on the moon. The last boots-on-the-moon landing took place in 1972 with Apollo 17.

As we look forward to this monumental event, we can’t help but feel a renewed sense of admiration and pride for the men and women who will lead the charge in exploring the final frontier. The upcoming moon landing will be a momentous occasion for all Americans and the entire world. It represents a giant leap forward in the quest for space exploration and discovery that has captivated humanity for centuries. We commend the bravery and dedication of the astronauts who will make this historic journey. Their achievements will inspire future generations to push the boundaries of what is possible and to continue the noble pursuit of scientific progress and discovery.
