U.S. Rejected! Mexico Pleads With Adversary Over Fentanyl Woes!

Another day and Cartels in Mexico are still flooding the United States with deadly fentanyl, meanwhile the U.S. is dealt an even greater blow simultaneously as Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador turns to an unlikely ally for help with his drug problems.

The fentanyl crisis has claimed countless lives in the United States, and Mexican drug cartels are a major player in the illicit trade. With millions of dollars worth of pills laced with fentanyl flooding into the U.S. every year, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has turned to China for help with a drug problem they have created. Dealing a massive blow to the US, who are used to being the middleman when it comes to handling  these international crises.

Lopez Obrador’s decision to write to Chinese officials follows a recent visit by U.S. officials who encouraged him to reach out to Beijing. But while the Mexican president is asking for China’s help with fentanyl, he is also criticizing the U.S. and its tough stance on Mexican drug cartels.

This all came after he called the fentanyl problem a U.S. problem.

In his letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Lopez Obrador complained about what he described as “rude threats” from U.S. officials to classify Mexican drug cartels as terror groups.

In his letter to the Chinese, Lopez Obrador wrote, “We come to you, President Xi Jinping, not to ask for your support in the face of these rude threats, but to request that for humanitarian reasons, you help us control shipments of fentanyl that can be sent from China to our country.”

He also blamed the U.S. for problems related to drug trafficking, citing a “lack of values” and a “welfare crisis.”

Despite his criticism of the U.S., Lopez Obrador’s request for China’s help with fentanyl is a sign of just how serious the crisis has become. Millions of dollars worth of pills laced with fentanyl are trafficked into the U.S. from Mexico every year, with much of the drug coming from China. Chinese drug companies supply precursor chemicals that Mexican cartels use to manufacture the deadly pills.

The cartels have become adept at disguising their fentanyl as legitimate medication, using blue dye to make pills look like oxycontin. This has led to countless overdose deaths among people who are unaware that they are taking fentanyl-laced drugs.

While the U.S. and Mexico are reportedly nearing a deal to crack down on drug trafficking across the border, it’s unclear whether China can be trusted to help stem the flow of fentanyl into Mexico.

Chinese drug companies have faced criticism in the past for supplying precursor chemicals to Mexican cartels, and it’s unclear what steps Beijing will take to address this.

Moreover, the Chinese government has been accused of using fentanyl as a weapon in its ongoing trade war with the U.S. By allowing fentanyl to flow into America, China is not only profiting off of the drug trade but also harming American communities in the process.

Honestly, reaching out to China asking them to help Mexico will not change anything. If it does, that will be a shocking development especially with how obsessed the CCP is to hurt the U.S. This should be an issue the U.S. should have been able to handle on its own but with this administration we keep taking a back seat when it comes to leading internationally. That is not a good look of strength for us and everyone knows it.
