MSNBC Host Humiliated by Independent Journalist Matt Taibbi

You won’t believe what happened when an MSNBC host tried to take down independent journalist Matt Taibbi over his Twitter Files reporting and past MSNBC news coverage.

In a fiery debate on live television, Mehdi Hasan, host of MSNBC, took on independent journalist Matt Taibbi over his reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Hasan accused Taibbi of being a bad journalist and doing PR work for the world’s richest man. Taibbi, in turn, criticized Hasan for downplaying the Hunter Biden story, while also calling out MSNBC for reporting on “fake Russian hit stories.” The exchange quickly devolved into a heated argument, with both parties refusing to back down.

During the debate, Taibbi accused MSNBC of dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation, despite evidence to the contrary. Hasan countered by saying he was not working at the network during that time and therefore couldn’t be blamed for any mistakes made by the network. However, Twitter users quickly debunked his claim, pointing out that he had made previous comments in a minimizing manner about the Hunter Biden story.

Aaron Mate stated on twitter “ Here’s an example of @mehdirhasan, contrary to his new excuse-making, saying a word about the Hunter Biden story: all intended at minimizing it, and the censorship that came with it.”

In the attached images are tweets from Hasan stating that even Fox News and toher right leaning outlets failed to want to cover the laptop story, and re-iterated that it was a not a media conspiracy to cover it up.

Regardless of the evidence, Hasan continued to argue that even if every word of the New York Post’s “reporting” on Hunter Biden was true, it still wouldn’t equate to even one percent of the corruption stories involving Trump and his inner circle. Taibbi was quick to point out that this was a false equivalency, as corruption and wrongdoing should be investigated regardless of which side of the political aisle it comes from.

Throughout the exchange, Taibbi defended his reporting in the Twitter Files, saying that it would hold up over time, unlike the Russian story that MSNBC had spent six consecutive years reporting on. He also accused Hasan of putting words in his mouth when Hasan suggested that Taibbi had downplayed the Hunter Biden story.

The exchange between Hasan and Taibbi is just one example of the increasing polarization on both sides of the political spectrum. The dismissal of the Hunter Biden laptop story by the mainstream media has led many Americans to question the integrity of the reporting coming from networks like MSNBC. As journalists, we have a responsibility to report the truth, regardless of which political party it may benefit or harm. It’s time for us to put our biases aside and focus on the facts, rather than resorting to name-calling and insults. Only then can we begin to rebuild the trust between the media and the American people.
