LOOK: Virginia Attorney General Sends SCORCHING Letter to Mayor of Crime-Infested DC

In the wake of a crime wave that has left residents of Washington, DC, feeling vulnerable and frustrated, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has penned a scorching letter to Mayor Muriel Bowser. The letter demands that Bowser do more to address the rising crime rates and improve residents’ safety. Miyares’ stern message is sure to be commended by conservatives who have long criticized Bowser’s leadership style and approach to crime.

Earlier this week, Attorney General Miyares sent a letter to D.C. Mayor Bowser and the D.C. City Council accusing them of allowing the district to become a crime hotbed.

The letter reads in part, “Washington, D.C., is dealing with a crime explosion. Actions speak louder than words — and the only actionable items taken by Washington D.C. leadership have been ways to lessen criminal penalties, further fostering an environment for criminal activity.”

The letter continues, reading, “There is no deterrent for illegal behavior in Washington, D.C., as these repeat offenders know they will either not be charged or let back on the streets in no time.”

The Attorney General also went on FOX News recently to speak on the alarming crime rate in D.C.

In conclusion, Attorney General Miyares is taking a no-nonsense approach to tackling crime in his state. His letter to Mayor Bowser calling out her lack of action and urges her to take a more proactive role in protecting the city’s citizens was completely justified and needed in these times. With crime rates continuing to rise, it’s clear that something needs to be done to restore law and order in the nation’s capital. Only time will tell if Bowser will heed Miyares’ warnings and take the necessary steps to improve public safety in DC.
